Fortress Recruit are working with a leading defence engineering and manufacturing organisation in the recruitment of a Senior Mechanical Product Support Engineer to join their growing Production Engineering team.

You will provide hands-on technical support across manufacturing, supporting complex electro-mechanical products throughout the production lifecycle. You will play a key role in resolving product and process issues, improving reliability, and supporting continuous improvement across quality, cost, and delivery.

Key responsibilities:

* Provide technical support to engineering, operations, quality, and project teams

* Investigate and resolve product and manufacturing issues through root cause analysis

* Produce and maintain technical documentation, including engineering change requests

* Support the delivery of technical outputs in line with agreed schedules and standards

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency and productivity

* Assist in driving continuous improvement and process standardisation

* Support new product introduction and lifecycle engineering activities

To be successful, you'll have:

* Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience)

* Experience in product support, manufacturing, production, or design engineering

* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills within engineering environments

* Experience supporting complex electro-mechanical products

* Familiarity with CAD tools such as SolidWorks or CREO

* Ability to communicate effectively across multiple stakeholders

* Strong organisational skills and ability to work to deadlines

* Eligibility for SC clearance (5 years' UK residency without visa or sponsorship requirement)
