With a competitive salary, a permanent contract, and a clear path to develop your expertise, this is a role where your skills will make a real impact.Reporting to the Payroll Hub Manager, you will be responsible for:
  • Ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of client payrolls to agreed deadlines
  • Inputting payroll data, running audit and validation checks, and interfacing data to General Ledger and Pensions systems
  • Monitoring and processing statutory payments such as SSP and SMP
  • Managing year-end reporting and payroll changes to time and attendance systems
  • Administering the end-to-end payroll process and auto enrolment compliance for a portfolio of clients
  • Acting as first line support for pay queries and peer checking payrolls
  • Handling payroll-related enquiries from clients and building strong relationships with offices, HMRC, and third-party providers
  • Keeping up to date with payroll legislation and industry changes through independent research
What you will need:
  • Previous payroll administration experience (minimum one year) in a busy, service-driven environment, ideally within a bureau setting
  • End-to-end payroll processing experience, including pensions, benefits, and statutory payments
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail across both manual and systems-based work
  • Ability to coordinate, prioritise, and multitask with minimal supervision
  • Strong customer focus and confidence handling queries by phone and email
  • Adaptability to a highly changeable environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of payroll legislation, processing, and auto enrolment regulations
  • Ability to manually calculate payroll
