Job Title: Teaching Assistant Level 2
Location: Tameside, Greater Manchester
Contract Type: Full-Time / Part-Time (Term-Time Only)
Salary: £90 - 105 per day
Start Date: September 2025 

About the Role:

Are you passionate about supporting children in their learning and development? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school within the Tameside area.

You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide high-quality classroom support, assist with planning and preparation, and help ensure every pupil has the opportunity to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

Support teaching staff in the delivery of high-quality learning activities

Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans

Work one-to-one and with small groups to support learning outcomes

Provide feedback to pupils and support their emotional well-being

Prepare learning resources and help maintain a stimulating classroom environment

Supervise pupils during break/lunch times as required

Requirements:

Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)

Experience working with children in an educational setting

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

A patient, caring, and flexible approach to supporting learners

A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Desirable:

Experience working with children with SEND

First Aid qualification

Knowledge of phonics (if primary-based role) or subject-specific support (if secondary)
