A supportive and high-achieving secondary school in Clitheroe is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Geography Teacher to join their team as soon as possible. This is a fantastic long-term role with the potential to go permanent, offering consistency and progression within a welcoming school community.
The Role
- Deliver engaging and high-quality lessons in Geography across KS3 and KS4 (experience in Humanities subjects is also welcomed).
- Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where every pupil can thrive.
- Support students of varying abilities, ensuring progress and achievement.
- Contribute to the wider school community and departmental initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Strong subject knowledge in Geography (and ideally wider Humanities).
- Previous teaching experience in a UK secondary school.
- Passionate, committed, and able to inspire students to develop a love of learning.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
Essential Requirements
- Right to work in the UK.
- Valid Enhanced DBS certificate (on the Update Service or willingness to apply – support available).
- A full and up-to-date CV.
