Are you looking for a role supporting SEND?

Teaching Personnel are representing a school in Chesterfield, who are looking for a Teaching Assistant with a SEND specialism to start as soon as possible. 

You will be expected to support on a 121 basis and small groups in and outside of the classroom. Additional training, such as ELSA, would be beneficial - there are courses available through our CPD Academy if you are looking to upskill. This is initially a post for the full academic year, with the potential for this to be extended.

Daily Rate: £66.30 upwards 

September start 


Expectations may include, but are not limited to; 

To a have a good knowledge base of SEN children generally
To have good experience of working with SEN children
To build positive relationships with children and colleagues
To be able to work with an individual child specifically or with a group to deliver learning and interventions 
To use suitable strategies to aid learning and positive behaviour
To demonstrate a positive role model
To be willing to take on any CPD that is deemed necessary in fulfilling the needs of the children 
To be aware and willing to fulfil personal care duties where necessary.

Have clear communication skills with children and adults.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
