Science Teacher - September Start (2 Terms)
Location: Skipton (5 minutes' walk from train station)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-time, Fixed-Term (2 Terms)
Key Stages: KS3 and KS4
About the Role: Academic Appointments Ltd is working in partnership with a Secondary School in the heart of Skipton, part of a highly regarded multi-academy trust, to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher for a September 2025 start.
This is a full-time position covering two academic terms, with the potential for a longer-term or permanent opportunity for the right candidate.
The school is located just 5 minutes' walk from the train station, making it easily accessible by public transport.
You will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective Science lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 students, fostering curiosity, scientific thinking, and academic progress in a supportive and well-led school environment.
Key Responsibilities:

* Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons across KS3 and KS4

* Use differentiation to meet the diverse needs of learners

* Collaborate with colleagues within a dynamic and supportive Science department

* Promote excellent standards of teaching, learning, and behaviour

Requirements:

* A relevant honours degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

* Proven experience or strong potential in teaching Science successfully

* Two recent references from educational settings

* An Enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

* A passion for Science and a commitment to student achievement
