Job Opportunity: SEN Teaching Assistant (Complex Needs) - B33 Area �?Location: B33, BirminghamPosition: SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support)Contract Type: Full-Time, Term Time OnlyStart Date: ASAPSalary: Dependent on experience and qualificationsWe are a warm, supportive Special Educational Needs (SEN) school based in the B33 area of Birmingham, dedicated to providing exceptional education and care for children with a wide range of additional needs.We are currently seeking a compassionate, resilient, and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a student with complex needs. This role is ideal for someone who has previous experience in an SEN or mainstream school setting and is passionate about helping young people reach their full potential.�? The Role:Provide consistent 1:1 support for a student with complex needs, including personal care and mobility assistance if requiredWork closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and therapy teams to implement individual learning and care plansUse strategies to promote communication, sensory engagement, and emotional regulationSupport with daily routines and contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environmentRecord and monitor progress and report effectively to staff and parents/carers�? About You:Previous experience working in a school setting is essential, ideally within SENExperience supporting children or young people with complex medical or behavioural needsKnowledge of autism, sensory processing differences, and/or physical disabilitiesA patient, calm and nurturing approach with strong communication skillsTeam Teach, Makaton, PECs, or Moving & Handling training is advantageous but not essentialMust hold or be willing to apply for an enhanced DBS check??
