SEMH Teaching Assistant (Full-Time)

We're looking for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Salford supporting pupils aged 7-16 with SEMH and additional needs.

You'll work in small classes (approx. 8 pupils) alongside experienced staff, helping deliver a tailored curriculum that supports academic, social, and emotional growth. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference every day.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

Location - Salford - 🚗 driving licence preferred due to off-site learning and activities
Position - Teaching Assistant
Type of work - Long term Non-Teaching cover
Start date - ASAP July 2025
Duration - Permanent
Contract type - Permanent
Full time/part time - Full
Minimum rate of pay - GBP90-GBP110 per day
Hours 8:30am to 3:30pm

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with SEN/SEMH desirable
Recent Graduate, with a 2:2 or higher, OR Experience as a TA in a similar setting
Previous experience working in a UK school
Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child related references
