Location: Secondary SEN School - Greenwich
Pay Rate: £110 - £120 per day (depending on experience)
Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Monday to Friday)
Contract: Long-Term, Full-Time

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and proactive Autism Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive and well-resourced secondary SEN school in Greenwich. This is a long-term opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people with autism and complex needs.

You will be working closely with students who require a patient, consistent, and structured approach to learning. Many of the pupils require support with personal care, so experience or willingness to assist in this area is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support for students with autism

Help implement EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) targets

Assist with personal care, including toileting and hygiene routines

Promote independence and encourage emotional regulation and communication

Support the classroom teacher and work collaboratively with the wider SEN team

Maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

Experience working with children or young adults with autism or SEN

Comfortable with delivering personal care

Strong communication skills and a calm, empathetic manner

Ability to build trusting relationships with students and staff

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one)
