An opportunity has arisen for a Tax Manager to join a global, PE backed retailer headquartered in central London (hybrid working). The business has performed well in the market, demonstrating revenue growth globally, despite tough trading conditions.
Reporting into the Head of Tax, you will be responsible for managing a junior Tax Associate. You will operate as the go to person for the UK & international corporate tax and playing a pivotal role in a major transformation project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering and improving tax governance and transfer pricing policies, procedures and controls across the UK, Europe and some Asian entities
- Management of the tax accounting policies, procedures and controls
- Managing the preparation of the businesses’ CT returns for the UK
- Managing the preparation, submission and agreement of European corporation tax returns
- Effective partnering with senior stakeholders across the business
- Preparation of tax disclosures for inclusion in the consolidated financial statements
- Team management of 1 direct report
- Assist in the system transformation project from a tax perspective
Key Requirements:
- Significant experience of UK corporation tax
- Practice experience looking to make their first move into industry or industry experience working within a tax function
- Qualification of ACA, ACCA, CTA or equivalent would be preferable
- Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to changes
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to identify risks
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
