Recycling Operator
JDR Recruitment are currently recruiting for Recycling Operators to join a well-established and growing recycling and waste management business based in Neath Abbey.
Our client operates a modern recycling and recovery facility, using a mix of automated and manual processes to sort and process a wide range of waste materials including plastics, wood, metals, cardboard and general recyclables.
Pay & Benefits
£12.71 per hour
Weekly pay (every Friday)
PAYE - employed directly with full benefits
Ongoing, full-time work
Consistent shifts Monday to Friday
Working Hours (Set shifts, no alternating)
Days: 6:30am - 4:30pm
Nights: 5:00pm - 4:30am
The Role
Working as part of a busy recycling operation, your duties will include:
Sorting recyclable materials on a processing line (plastics, cardboard, metals, wood etc.)
Operating within a waste recycling and recovery facility
Working alongside automated machinery such as conveyors and sorting equipment
Maintaining high levels of housekeeping across the site
Assisting with loading and unloading materials
Following strict health and safety procedures at all times
Working in an outdoor and industrial environment
This role involves working in a fast-paced recycling environment, handling mixed waste streams and supporting the recovery of reusable materials to minimise landfill.
Requirements
Must be comfortable working in a recycling or waste environment
Ability to work on your feet for long periods
Reliable and punctual
Good team player with a strong work ethic
Previous experience in recycling, waste, manufacturing or labouring is desirable but not essential
