An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Ecologist / EcologyConsultant with 2 years' experience to join a well-established environmental consultancy. This full-time role offers hybrid working options, salary range of £32,000 - £40,000 and benefits.

As an Ecologist / EcologyConsultant, you will be supporting a range of ecological projects, contributing to habitat and species assessments while ensuring best practice and regulatory compliance.

You will be responsible for:

Supporting the execution of ecological surveys and mitigation planning.
Producing clear, accurate ecological reports such as Preliminary Ecological Appraisals (PEA) and contributions to Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIA).
Assisting with project delivery in collaboration with senior ecologists and other technical staff.
Offering ecological guidance to clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.
Helping to build and maintain positive relationships with clients through professionalism and technical credibility.

What we are looking for:

Previously worked as an Ecologist, Senior Ecologist, Ecological Consultant, Ecological Surveyor or in a similar role.
At least 2 years' professional experience in ecological consultancy.
Possess degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Skilled in protected species and habitat surveys, with strong field skills.
Hold membership of CIEEM or working towards it.
Excellent technical report writing skills, following CIEEM guidelines.
Bat and/or GCN Natural England licences would be preferred.
Valid UK driving licence.
