📍 Salary: £40,000 per annum
📅 Shifts: 4 on / 4 off rotating over 7 weeks, followed by a full 14-day break

We're on the lookout for a hands-on, proactive Lead Mechanical Fitter to take ownership of maintenance operations at our fast-paced, growing manufacturing site. 🔩 What You'll Be Doing:

Leading planned and reactive mechanical maintenance across the site

*

Keeping critical equipment like granulators, crushers, and hydraulic systems running smoothly

*

Supervising and developing a small team of Assistant Fitters

*

Ensuring safe systems of work, clear shift handovers, and accurate reporting using digital systems

*

Supporting continuous improvement and reducing downtime

👷‍♂️ What We're Looking For:

*

A strong background in mechanical maintenance, ideally in manufacturing or heavy industry

*

Confident team leader, mentor, and hands-on problem solver

*

Skilled in MIG welding, with good knowledge of hydraulics and basic electrics (PLC knowledge a plus)

*

Familiar with using Excel and maintenance reporting tools

*

Safety-first mindset and solid fault-finding skills
