Finance Manager (PART TIME OR FULL TIME)

Based; Salford Quays

Salary: up to £55k + bonus + benefits

Part time OR full time considered (25 hours minimum)

We are exclusively working with a well-established, successful Construction company looking for a Finance Manager to join their team. This is a new role for the business who recently brought their accounts in-house and a chance for the Directors to have better visibility over accounts, financial analysis and projects. This is a stand-alone role in a growing SME so you will have full control over the finance department, reporting directly to the MD and board. The business is forecasting double turnover over the next 3-5 years offering a great opportunity to develop

Role:

• Evaluating current financial processes, implementing new robust controls/processes and reviewing current system with potential for upgrade
• Producing full management accounts overseeing year end & VAT returns
• Producing reports & analysis to the Directors on projects & finances
• Business partnering with Projects, Operations & wider departments to advise on budgets & forecasts
• Planning & monitoring cash flow, balance sheet & bank reconciliations
• Liaising with HMRC, overseeing all aspects of purchase/sales ledger and transactional duties
• Bank reconciliations, tracking retentions, payroll processing
• Liaising with external Accountants & advisors as required
• Overseeing all banking activities

Experience:

• At least 5 years accounts experience ideally in a stand-alone role
• QBE/part-qualified or qualified (study support if desired but not essential)
• Construction experience is ESSENTIAL
• SME experience is ESSENTIAL (under £20m turnover)
• Hands on, business minded & commercial to work with the Directors
