Maintenance Engineer - Cringle Dock

Location: Cringle Dock, London
Hours: Monday-Friday (rotating shifts: 06:00-14:00 / 13:50-21:50) + every other weekend (06:00-14:00)

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a busy Waste Transfer Station in Cringle Dock. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of operations.

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to a high standard and on schedule.

* Provide proactive control and optimisation of process equipment.

* Adjust, install, and replace components to improve equipment efficiency.

* Respond promptly to breakdowns and provide technical support.

* Assist with maintaining stores inventory and database.

* Support the implementation of the Integrated Management System (IMS).

* Contribute to risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of work.

Requirements

* Proven experience in a similar maintenance engineering role.

* Strong knowledge of heavy mobile plant and mechanical systems.

* Good computer skills (Microsoft Office).

* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

* Flexible and able to work under pressure.

* Full, valid UK driving licence.

* Willingness to work overtime, including weekends when required.
