Warehouse Manager

We are currently recruiting for a hands-on Warehouse Supervisor / Senior Warehouse Assistant to join a small, close-knit warehouse team. This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys being operational while also overseeing day-to-day warehouse activities.

You will play a key role in ensuring smooth warehouse operations, maintaining high standards of safety and organisation, and supporting the wider logistics and supply chain function.

Key Responsibilities

• Overseeing daily warehouse operations including goods in, goods out, and inventory control
• Preparing and palletising orders ready for dispatch
• Booking outgoing pallets using internal logistics software
• Coordinating with shipping agents, suppliers, and internal colleagues
• Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations and maintaining a clean, organised warehouse
• Operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely
• Managing and supporting a small warehouse team
• Completing local deliveries (average twice per week) using a Luton van

Key Requirements

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a warehouse supervisory or managerial role
• Strong knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures
• Forklift experience essential (valid certification advantageous)
• Confident driving a Luton van
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
• Clear communication skills and a proactive, team-focused approach
