Senior Social Worker - Older People's Services (Locum) Hertfordshire (South & West Herts - Dacorum) £35 per hour (Umbrella) Locum Contract Hertfordshire County Council is seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join their Older People's Services team within the South & West Hertfordshire area, based in Dacorum. The Role This is a key locum opportunity for a skilled practitioner to manage a varied caseload and support team development within a busy service. Key Responsibilities: Manage a caseload of approximately 20 cases Support and supervise assessments completed by other team members Work on complex cases, including those requiring court involvement Ensure high-quality assessments and care planning in line with legislation Requirements Essential: Qualified Social Worker Strong knowledge of the Care Act and eligibility criteria Understanding of: Mental Capacity Act (MCA) Best Interest Decisions (BID) Safeguarding Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) Experience handling complex cases, including court work Strong IT skills and report writing ability Confident and proactive approach Desirable: Previous experience in Older People's Services Additional Requirements Must be a car driver with access to own vehicle
