Our client who is based within the higher education sector, have a temporary role for a Graduation and Events Administrator. This role is Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm, and is based in the West End of Glasgow, for approx. 12 weeks. This attracts a pay rate of £11.01 per hour.
Work as part of the Graduation and Ceremonial Events Team to provide comprehensive administrative support for the effective delivery of graduation ceremonies and ceremonial events

Duties
Maintain graduation record systems and process graduation data using the MyCampus student record system. Run queries/reports from MyCampus to obtain data as required.
Proactively support graduation preparations by assisting with a range of activities including: - Checking graduation data, lists and degree parchments and follow up on queries to take corrective action where required.
Use MyCampus/Excel and other manual processes to allocate seat numbers and guest tickets for graduation ceremonies.
Production of degree parchments and Higher Education Achievement Reports (academic transcripts) and diplomas/certificates. This can either involve producing documents by bulk or on an ad-hoc basis.
Preparation and dispatch of degree parchments awarded 'in absentia' using Royal Mail and DHL.
Provide support for award ceremonies
Pre-ceremony registration and distribution of guest tickets.
Distribution of degree parchments before or after ceremonies.
Preparing degree parchments, diplomas & certificates, HEARs (academic transcripts) and any other documentation required for presentation at graduation ceremonies or for posting.
Assisting with seating of students and guests in Bute Hall prior to the graduation ceremony starting.
Act as a ceremony marshal, checking names or providing directions to graduands during ceremonies.
Corresponding with schools/colleges over degree results for students who have enrolled to graduate. This involves contacting schools and liaising over results not received by the previously agreed deadline.
Supervise a nominated area for guest seating in Bute Hall at graduation ceremonies. This involves collecting tickets from guests and directing them to the correct seating area

Skills
Excellent organisational and people skills.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a wider team and independently.
Ability to work calmly under pressure to assist the Graduation/Ceremonial Events Team to meet tight deadlines.
Working knowledge of Microsoft packages and Outlook.
A positive and enthusiastic approach to work.
High level of accuracy and good attention to detail
