SEMH Practitioner

• Job Type: Full-time, Term-time
• Location: Tower Hamlets, London
• Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM

We are seeking a dedicated SEMH Practitioner with experience in SEND and interventions to join our Welfare team at a secondary SEN boys' school. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in SEMH, looking to make a significant impact in a pastoral capacity.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Address and manage behavioural issues as they arise.
• Conduct interventions with dysregulated boys, focusing on emotional and behavioural support.
• Work collaboratively within the pastoral team to provide specialist SEN support and interventions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in SEMH and interventions.
• Background in either social work, psychology, or a related field is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with students facing emotional and behavioural challenges.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team within the school's welfare framework.
• Commitment to the pastoral and caring aspects of the role, with a hands-on approach to intervention.
