Site Stores Person/Materials Controller - Contract Opportgunity - Heavy Industrial Projects

Seeking an experienced Site Stores Person / Materials Controller to support heavy industrial projects. The role focuses on the management, tracking, and coordination of site materials to ensure construction teams have the correct materials available when required, supporting efficient project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Stores & Materials Management

Receive, check, and record deliveries against purchase orders and material requests
Manage site stores, ensuring materials are correctly labelled, stored, and protected
Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP/SAP systems and Excel trackers
Issue materials to site teams and subcontractors in line with project requirements
Monitor stock levels and report shortages or discrepancies
Track material usage and maintain clear documentationSite Coordination

Liaise with procurement, warehouse, and site teams regarding material requirements
Assist with reviewing material take-offs (MTOs) and Bills of Quantities (BOQs)
Coordinate inspections and documentation for incoming materials
Ensure materials are available to support construction progress
Maintain safe and organised storage areas in line with site HSE standardsSkills & Competencies

Experience working in construction or industrial site stores
Good knowledge of materials handling and inventory control
Proficient in Excel and materials tracking systems (ERP/SAP preferred)
Able to read basic engineering drawings and material lists
Strong organisational and record-keeping skills
Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced site environment
Good communication skills with site teams and suppliers
