We are representing a leading company within the semiconductor industry, providing end-to-end gas delivery solutions—from initial design through to final shipment.

Our client is seeking a positive and enthusiastic individual looking to develop their career in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will utilise your strong communication skills to confidently work with both internal and external stakeholders, supporting the day-to-day operations within the Customer Service department.

As a Customer Service Specialist, you will take ownership of customer accounts and manage the end-to-end order process using systems such as SAP, CRM platforms, and Excel.

What can you expect from the role?

* Build a strong understanding of customer businesses and requirements, managing and developing customer accounts via email and Microsoft Teams.

* Respond to customer queries, liaising with internal departments where necessary, and provide timely updates through to resolution.

* Manage full order processing, including purchase order changes, rescheduling, and communication of updates to both customers and internal teams.

* Process rework, return, and repair orders efficiently.

* Collaborate with Production and Purchasing teams to ensure on-time delivery, managing shortages, escalations, and schedule adjustments.

* Raise credit and debit notes where required.

* Maintain accurate system data, including price lists, quotes, RFQs, revisions, BOMs, drawings, and customer records.

* Work with customer Bills of Materials (BOMs) and engineering drawings to prepare and update quotations.

* Review and maintain the customer orderbook, ensuring all changes are communicated clearly.

* Resolve day-to-day delivery and order-related queries.

* Support sales forecasting and job costing activities.

* Attend and contribute to production meetings.

* Identify potential risks or delays and escalate to management proactively.

* Support stock takes and audits as required.

* Provide solutions and recommendations to meet customer needs.

* Complete additional tasks as requested by the line manager.

Skills & Experience

* Highly organised with strong attention to detail.

* Previous experience in a customer service, sales support, or account management role.

* Experience managing customer accounts and building client relationships.

* Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and self-motivated approach.

* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (essential).

* Experience using ERP/CRM systems such as SAP (highly desirable).

* Ability to interpret and work with engineering drawings (desirable).

* Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment (desirable).

* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.

* Full UK driving licence and ability to travel when required.
