A forward-thinking, sustainability-driven building services consultancy is looking for a Junior Building Physics Consultant to join its growing team in Manchester. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional with a passion for energy-efficient design and building performance modelling to gain hands-on experience with industry-leading tools such as IES-VE.

Ideal for recent graduates or individuals with up to 1-2 years of relevant experience, this role provides structured development and a clear pathway into sustainability consultancy or building performance engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in developing IES-VE models
Support dynamic thermal simulation, Part L compliance checks, overheating assessments (TM52/TM59), and daylight analysis
Contribute to the delivery of low-energy, sustainable design solutions in line with UK standards and environmental targets
Help prepare technical reports and communicate key findings to internal design teams
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including M&E engineers, architects, and sustainability specialists to deliver integrated designsAbout You:

Degree-qualified (or with equivalent experience) in Building Services Engineering, Environmental Design, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
A keen interest in sustainable building design, energy modelling, and environmental performance
Basic familiarity with IES-VE or similar simulation software
Detail-oriented with good analytical and communication skills
Based in or near Manchester, or open to relocation
Must have the right to work in the UKWhat's on Offer:
