Job Title: Construction Manager - Mechanical
Location: Oxfordshire, UK
Salary: £80,000-£85,000 + Pension & Healthcare
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager to join a subcontractor delivering on a semiconductor R&D facility in Oxfordshire. The project involves tool installation and associated mechanical works, reporting into the base build Project Manager already on site.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee mechanical works on site, including direct labour and subcontractors
Manage a team of up to 12
Supervise site activity
Handle purchasing, budgeting, and scheduling of materials
Support commercial aspects including progress tracking and subcontractor coordination
Maintain safety, quality, and productivity standards
Coordinate with the main contractor and internal teams
Requirements:

Proven experience in a similar Mechanical Construction Manager role
Strong background in mechanical systems and pipework installation
Experience in purchasing, budgeting, and progress tracking
Commercial awareness
Able to plan ahead and drive progress on site
Experience in semiconductor or high-tech projects is preferred
Contract:

Project runs until October with potential for further opportunities
