Impact Recruitment is working with a specialist engineering company that develops high-performance exhaust systems for automotive and motorsport applications. They are looking for a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join their growing team and support the development of bespoke components including manifolds, catalytic converters, and mufflers.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be involved in exciting, hands-on projects in a dynamic and innovative workshop environment. Ideal for someone with a background in metal fabrication, stainless steel welding, or custom builds.

Salary: £33,000 - £38,000 DOE
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm
Location: Daventry

Job Duties:

Fabricate and weld exhaust components such as manifolds, mufflers, and catalytic housings.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and verbal instructions.
Perform TIG and MIG welding, mainly on stainless steel and occasionally on other materials.
Use a range of hand tools and fabrication equipment (presses, rollers, seam welders, etc.).
Work on vehicle fitting and testing of prototype systems.
Collaborate with design and engineering teams to improve functionality and fit.
Inspect finished parts to ensure accuracy and build quality.Requirements:

Solid experience in fabrication and TIG/MIG welding (ideally with stainless steel).
Able to read and work from engineering drawings and sketches.
Strong attention to detail and high standards of workmanship.
Comfortable working independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Keen to learn and develop specialist skills in prototype exhaust systems.
