My client is a well-established civil engineering contractor with a strong reputation for delivering projects across highways, energy, and wider civil infrastructure sectors. They are now seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to join their growing team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide variety of civils schemes, supporting project teams and making a genuine impact on safety standards across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out site inspections, audits, and risk assessments across multiple projects.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation and company policies.
- Support project managers and site teams with method statements and safe systems of work.
- Deliver toolbox talks, training, and safety briefings to site staff.
- Promote and embed a proactive health & safety culture across all sites.
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and regulators as required.
Skills & Qualifications Required:
- NEBOSH Diploma preferred, though NEBOSH General Certificate with strong industry experience will also be considered.
- Previous experience within civil engineering (highways, utilities, or energy infrastructure desirable).
- Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations and construction HSE practices.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage site teams at all levels.
- Flexibility to travel between sites, with some staying away when required.
Package:
- £40,000 - £50,000 per annum (depending on experience)
