Multiskilled Shift Engineer

Salary: £56,500

We are supporting a growing, multi-site manufacturing business in hiring a Multiskilled Shift Engineer to join their team. This hands-on role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving machinery to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

You will play a key role in maximising equipment reliability and supporting production targets across both electrical and mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance
Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults
Respond quickly to breakdowns and support production teams
Conduct routine equipment inspections
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Maintain accurate maintenance records
Assist with installation and commissioning of equipment
Follow health and safety standards

Experience & Qualifications

Experience in manufacturing, production, or similar environment
Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge (e.g. PLCs, hydraulics, motors, conveyors)
Relevant engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND or equivalent)
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Strong problem-solving and organisational skills
Good communication skills
