Cnc Machinist

Salary: £13 - £17.40/hour

TEXO Recruitment are currently sourcing for multiple CNC roles on behalf our external client located in Dundee on a 3 month contract basis.

CNC Setter

Responsibilities:

Set up and operate state-of-the-art Matsuura CNC Milling Machines (3, 4, and 5 axis)

Work with a variety of metals to precise specifications

Interpret technical drawings and work to tight tolerances

Ensure quality control and machine maintenance

Collaborate with team members to meet production targets

Requirements:

* Minimum 2 years of experience in CNC milling and setting

* Proven experience with Fanuc controls

* Willingness to be trained on Matsuura CNC machines

* Solid understanding of 3-axis CNC milling (essential)

* Experience operating 4 and 5-axis machines (preferred)

* Setter/Operator experience is required

* Must live within commuting distance of Cupar Muir, Fife

CNC Turner

Responsibilities:

* Set up, programme, and operate CNC turning machines to produce small precision parts.

* Read blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine machining requirements.

* Select and install cutting tools, fixtures, and tooling.

* Monitor machine operations and adjust as needed.

* Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments.

* Perform routine machine maintenance.

* Maintain a clean and organised workspace.

Requirements:

* Precision CNC Turning - Programmer, Setter, Operator

* Experienced CNC Turners required with full expertise in CNC Turning Machining Centres, particularly NLX (Apply online only) and NLX (Apply online only).

* Proven ability to produce small precision parts with tolerances up to 0.005mm.

CNC Miller

Responsibilities:

* Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling etc.

* Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc.

* Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function

* Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines

* Prepare a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specifications

* Set machines to complete full cycles to fabricate large number of parts

* Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result

* Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly

* Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality

Requirements:

* Proven experience in operating CNC Milling Machines (3 - 5 axis).

* Strong understanding of adjusting offsets.

* Experience in reading and interpreting technical drawings.

* At least 1 year of CNC Machine Operating experience required.
