Relief Plant Supervisor
Are you a reliable, hands‑on operator with a strong focus on quality, safety and plant performance? We're looking for a dedicated Relief Plant Supervisor to support the efficient running of our concrete/mortar production operations. This role plays a key part in maintaining high standards of output, site presentation and customer satisfaction.
What You'll Be Doing
Production & Quality
Liaise closely with the Customer Service Centre to ensure concrete/mortar is produced to customer specifications.
Batch concrete/mortar accurately and in line with company procedures and technical instructions.
Consistently deliver optimal output while maintaining required quality standards.
Plant Operation & Maintenance
Operate the batching plant efficiently and safely according to company policy.
Carry out regular inspections and routine maintenance, ensuring defects are identified, recorded and acted upon.
Maintain cleanliness of the plant, equipment, buildings and surrounding areas.
Support continuous improvement of work methods and plant utilisation.
Materials Management
Ensure adequate materials are available to meet production demands.
Inspect incoming materials and complete weekly visual stock checks, with monthly verification.
Maintain stock levels using only approved materials.
Environmental & Safety Compliance
Manage waste disposal, water discharge and dust emissions in line with environmental procedures.
Ensure all employees, contractors and visitors follow site safety rules and instructions.
Report any actions, defects or occurrences that could impact health & safety, product quality or environmental compliance.
Site Standards & Security
Keep the site, plant and structures clean, tidy and safe at all times.
Maintain site and plant security at all times.
What We're Looking For
Experience within a concrete, mortar, aggregates, or similar production environment is advantageous.
Strong awareness of health & safety and environmental procedures.
Reliable, proactive and able to work independently.
Good communication skills and the ability to liaise with multiple teams.
Mechanical aptitude and practical problem‑solving abilities.
