Commercial Manager - Civils

We're looking for a commercially focused professional to lead on civils projects across the South East. This is a senior post overseeing high-value infrastructure, groundworks, remediation and enabling works — often under NEC contracts, often under pressure.
You'll be accountable for the full commercial lifecycle: working closely with operational teams, leading from tender to final account, and protecting margin and risk with precision. It's a delivery-focused environment that rewards clarity, consistency, and the ability to steer complex programmes without drama.
Key responsibilities:
* Manage the commercial strategy for civils projects
* Oversee procurement, valuations, change control and final accounts
* Navigate contract negotiations (primarily NEC forms)
* Maintain strong communication with delivery and leadership teams
* Report accurately and regularly on cost and risk position
What we need:
* Proven experience in a senior QS or Commercial Manager role within civils
* Strong contractual knowledge and confident decision-making
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment
* Professional, practical, and calm under pressure
