Assistant Accountant- Belfast

Reed Recruitment is delighted to be working with one of Northern Irelands leading Construction and Engineering clients with offices based in Belfast.

Due to continuous company growth and success, my client is seeking to appointment an Assistant Accountant to join their team, and work alongside the Finance Manager.

This role is offering full-time, permanent employment, the opportunity to make the role your own, and also work in a very successful and expanding organisation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for accounts duties at all levels, and the daily responsibilities will be as follows:

• General purchase ledger duties
• Uploading invoices to customers portals
• Matching and posting invoices to purchase orders ensuring correct coding,  currency and vat rate.
• Posting payments (direct debits etc)
• Reconciling supplier statements
• Assisting with month / quarter end procedures
• Management accounting duties
• Uploading invoices to customers portals
• Credit control

Essential Criteria:

• A minimum of two years’ experience working at an Assistant Accountant/ Part Qualified level
• IT Proficient in accounting software
• The ability to work along, as well as part of a team

Hours of work

• Monday- Thursday 8am-4.45pm

Friday 8am-2.30pm

• Onsite role

Salary

• £35,000+ per annum
