What will you do?

• Run your own court of protection caseload
• Manage your clients’ personal affairs
• Make applications to the court and be appointed as Deputy/Welfare Deputy
• Assist with decisions relating to retirement of an incapacitated trustee, putting in place a statutory will, making gifts from the individual’s assets and entering into a mortgage/loan arrangements
• Support lay deputies in line with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and the Code of Practice
• Assisting with annual reports required by the Court
• Gain exposure to more complex matters as your knowledge and experience increase

What do you need?

• Be a Solicitor or Legal Executive
• Be newly qualified or have up to 4 years’ PQE
• Private client and/or Court of Protection experience
