We’re recruiting a Corporate Tax Manager – Financial Services in Glasgow on behalf of a leading and specialist accountancy practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a CA-qualified tax professional to manage investment fund tax compliance, provide strategic advisory support, and help grow specialist tax services within a collaborative and high-performing team.
The Role
As Corporate Tax Manager, you will oversee a portfolio of investment fund clients, ensuring compliance with both partnership and corporate tax filings. You will provide expert advice on fund structuring, including the establishment of new funds and remuneration arrangements for investment fund managers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a portfolio of investment fund tax compliance, covering partnership and corporate tax filings
- Advising clients on fund structuring, establishment of new funds, and manager remuneration
- Collaborating with wider tax teams on direct tax, international tax, transfer pricing, VAT, R&D, and other advisory matters
- Supporting the Audit team on technical requirements and legislative regimes for listed and regulated funds
- Growing specialist tax services in investment funds, ensuring technical knowledge is applied and shared internally and externally
- Line management of team members, overseeing people and/or operational performance
You will work closely with clients and internal colleagues, ensuring high-quality service delivery while keeping up to date with developments in financial services tax.
About You
You will be CA-qualified (or equivalent) with relevant experience in financial services tax or a similar specialist tax environment.
You’ll demonstrate:
- Strong technical knowledge in corporate and partnership tax, particularly within private funds
- Leadership skills, taking ownership of your work and supporting the professional growth of your team
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to positively influence colleagues and clients
- A collaborative, team-oriented approach, committed to delivering exceptional client service
- Experience with tax software, including AlphaTax and CCH, is desirable
You are proactive, commercially aware, and motivated to grow specialist tax services within a client-focused environment.
