Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting for a SEN Maths Teacher to join a specialist SEMH school in Tooting, Southwest London.

Job Details:
· Role: SEN Maths Teacher
· Start Date: September 2025 (Immediate interviews / trials available)
· Contract: Long-term, temporary with the potential to become permanent
· Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
· Location: Tooting, Southwest London
· Pay: £140 - £260 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)
· Parking: On-site parking available

About the School:
This is a specialist school for boys aged 5-19 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The school is known for its supportive staff culture and its nurturing approach to helping young people who have experienced trauma or disengagement from education.

What Were Looking For:
· A qualified Maths Teacher with experience in SEN or SEMH settings
· Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
· Confidence in planning and delivering differentiated Maths lessons (KS3-KS4)
· A creative, hands-on teaching style with the ability to engage reluctant learners
· Understanding of trauma-informed approaches and strategies to re-engage students

Essential Requirements:
· QTS or QTLS (or an equivalent UK teaching qualification)
· Minimum 1 year of experience teaching students with SEN/SEMH
· Valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (Child & Adult Workforce)
· Two recent professional references (preferably from education settings)

Ideal for:
· Experienced SEN or SEMH Maths Teachers
· Mainstream Maths Teachers with a passion for inclusive education
· Teachers with experience in PRUs, Alternative Provisions, or SEMH schools
