Our client is a water filtration systems company. They are looking for an Operational Support Assistant to be based full-time at the Truro office. Office management or stores management experience with the willingness to learn about the equipment they use is key in this role along with an interest in field work within water treatment systems. The position is availble immediately and is Monday - Friday 9-5 until end of September 2021.
Description of duties:
Responsible for supporting remote or field based program staff by carrying out office-based tasks, including:
Receiving and signing for deliveries
Arranging dispatch of packages and mail
Ensuring office, workshop and other areas are kept clear of equipment and packages
Monitoring and recording inventories of equipment and stock of bottles & consumables
Arranging and carrying out safety checks and calibrations of relevant equipment (water quality testing equipment, gas monitors, vehicles etc)
Cleaning and calibrating equipment
Supporting sampling surveys where required
Carrying out basic lab activities where required
Entry level / student / recent graduate
Lab or sampling experience desirable
Office admin experience desirable
