SEN Teaching Assistant - Royston Area

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils in specialist and mainstream settings across the Royston area. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with children and young people with additional needs, helping them access learning, build confidence, and reach their full potential.

Location: Royston Contract Type: Full-Time / Part-Time / Long-Term /

SupplySalary: £100 - £130 per day (dependent on experience)

The Role Provide 1:1 or small group support for pupils with SEND. Support children with ASD, SEMH, ADHD, MLD and other additional needs. Assist the class teacher in delivering differentiated learning activities. Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation. Help create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment. Monitor and report on pupil progress.

The Ideal Candidate Previous experience working with children or young people is preferred, and SEND experience is desirable. A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting students. Strong communication and teamwork skills. A clear understanding of safeguarding responsibilities. Relevant qualifications such as Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant are desirable but not essential.
