Learning Support Assistant (LSA) - 1:1 Support | SEMH/SEND | Yateley 🔹
Start: September 2025 | Full-Time | Secondary School

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to provide 1:1 support for a Year 10 student transitioning into Year 11 at a secondary school in Yateley.

This role is ideal for someone with a background in SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) or SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) who is committed to helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their potential during this crucial academic year.

📍 Location: Yateley

📅 Start Date: September 2025

🕰️ Contract: Full-time, Term-time Only

💼 Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

Provide consistent 1:1 support to a student with SEMH/SEND needs

Assist in academic lessons, helping to keep the student focused and engaged

Support emotional regulation and build a trusting, positive relationship

Collaborate with teaching staff, SENCO, and external professionals

Contribute to creating a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment

Ideal Candidate:

Experience working with students with SEMH and/or SEND, ideally in a secondary setting

Calm, patient, and empathetic approach

Confident in supporting students with emotional and behavioural needs

Strong communication and teamwork skills

A relevant qualification in education or SEND support is desirable but not essential
