The Role

An established and growing regional law firm in Taunton, Somerset is recruiting a Private Client Solicitor or Private Client Legal Executive to strengthen its well-respected private client department.

This is a genuine opportunity to take ownership of a high-quality private client caseload, working closely with high-net-worth individuals, business owners and multi-generational families across Somerset and the South West. The firm has a strong referral base and a steady pipeline of work

Hybrid working is fully supported, alongside flexible hours and realistic targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing your own private client caseload, including:
• Wills and estate planning
• Probate and estate administration
• Trusts and trust administration
• Lasting Powers of Attorney
• Court of Protection work (optional, not essential)
• Delivering clear, practical advice with a strong client-care focus
• Building long-term client relationships and acting as a trusted adviser
• Working collaboratively within a supportive team, with full secretarial and paralegal support
• Optional involvement in networking and business development (existing workflow is strong)

About You

• Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEx)
• 3+ years’ PQE in private client law
• Solid experience across wills, probate, trusts and LPAs
• Commercial, organised and confident dealing with clients directly
• Comfortable handling a varied caseload with minimal supervision
