We are currently working with a range of SEN and SEMH schools across Newcastle and the surrounding areas who are looking for committed SEND Teaching Assistants to support on both short-term and long-term supply basis.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference, supporting pupils both in and out of the classroom.
The Role:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN and SEMH
- Support students with needs such as autism, ADHD, and behavioural challenges
- Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
- Help create a safe, structured and inclusive environment
- Support with behaviour management using a calm and consistent approach
What We're Looking For:
- Experience working within SEN and/or SEMH settings
- Strong behaviour management skills
- A patient, resilient and nurturing approach
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- A genuine passion for supporting young people
