Label Despatch Operative

We are working alongside our long term client who are a global machinery and product manufacturer who have a new opportunity for Label Despatch Operative to join their print team. The company offer an excellent benefits package and positive working environment.

This role is working on a 2 shift rotation Monday - Friday

Early Shift • Monday - Thursday: 06:00am - 14:30pm • Friday: 06:00am - 12:00pm

Late Shift
• Monday - Thursday: 14:15pm - 22:45pm • Friday: 11:45am - 17:45pm

Trainig for approx 4 weeks will be on a day shift

Key Duties and Responsibilities
•Operate ERP system (Oracle E1) to provide work-to lists for picking, packing and stocking.
•Ensure labels and located correctly and safely in storage locations.
•Ensure FIFO (first in first out) principles are adopted when picking stock, using DSI barcoding to ensure this practise.
•Accurately follow information on pick slips using DSI barcoding to ensure customers receive correct labels.
•Supply high level consumables to label department as and when required.
•Being adaptable and flexible in approach to work.
•The ability to safely operate machinery and equipment.
•Effective communication skills.
•Organise working day so that the presses are kept supplied with tooling to match schedule, and to ensure label orders are picked on time for despatch.
•Mix ink to match Pantone requirements.
•Managing ink stock, booking ink in and out of stock.
•Print out carton labels and core labels for works orders.
•Maintain a clean and tidy working environment.
•Comply with all necessary general company administrative requirements.
•Abide by all statutory requirements and adhere to and promote all company policies and procedures including (but not limited to) those relating to HR, quality, food safety, environmental, and health and safety.
•Undertake any other reasonable duties as directed by the line manager.

Experience & Qualifications
• City and Guilds NVQ level 2 warehouse qualification(desireable)
• Health & Safety awareness.
• Valid Counterbalance FLT license(essential) refresher can be offered
• Powered pallet truck trained.
• GCSE English and Maths grade A-D.
•Driving license.
