About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 1 Primary Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in NG4, Nottingham. This is a full-time position to provide at least one term of cover, with the possibility of extension.

As a Year 1 Teacher, you will play a key role in guiding pupils through an important stage of their early learning journey, ensuring they build solid foundations in literacy, numeracy and personal development.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
• Create a positive, safe and stimulating classroom environment
• Support pupils in developing confidence, independence and a love of learning
• Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback
• Work closely with colleagues, support staff and parents to ensure pupil success

What We're Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
• Experience teaching in KS1, ideally Year 1
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills
• A nurturing and creative approach to teaching young learners
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a supportive school team
