Overview of the Commercial Analyst:

The purpose of the Commercial Analyst role is to support the business in achieving its international growth plans and improving profitability of the existing client portfolio.

The Commercial Analyst will support the Head of Commercial & Pricing and will focus on 3 key aspects:
▪ Commercial and analytical support to win new client business and maintain the current client base
▪ Account planning and development support to drive growth within our existing client base
▪ Analytical support to enable long-term commercial strategy setting and effective decision making

This role is suitable to commercially minded individuals who have great analytical and relationship skills to influence commercial business decisions through the sourcing, analysis and presentation of data.

Duties of the Commercial Analyst:

Pricing:

▪ Support Head of Commercial & Pricing in pricing deals for our clients by providing insightful analysis and assessing commercial viability of deals
▪ Own and maintain commercial trackers to enable effective commercial governance across the business and support on automation of processes and trackers
▪ Support Head of Commercial & Pricing with placing insurance by providing supporting analysis and data points
▪ Work with Procurement, Project Management and Digital teams to identify cost efficiencies and provide an accurate cost view for pricing and budgeting purposes

Commercial:

▪ Build and manage the commercial dashboard and work with Finance to enable full visibility of campaign commercials and performance in one place
▪ Own post campaign reviews and support sales with client review meetings
▪ Own commercial analysis for the business including industry, competitor, account, and cross campaign analysis and regularly provide insights to senior leadership team to help inform long term strategy and decision making
▪ Work with the Product team to build business cases for new products to assess commercial viability and provide a recommendation to senior leadership

Account Development & Planning:

▪ Provide comprehensive and regular analysis of client accounts to help inform account development strategies supporting our clients sales teams
▪ Support Account planning process and work with sales to ensure account reviews and planning sessions are as effective as possible
▪ Work with Finance and sales teams on defining and tracking against campaign objectives and KPIs to ensure we deliver successful campaigns for our clients

Ideal Experience/Background Needed:

▪ Strong commercial acumen and previous experience in a commercial/ analyst role
▪ Strong analytical and numerical skills paired with great attention to detail
▪ Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to work collaboratively across teams in an international environment
▪ Can-do attitude and ability to roll up their sleeves to proactively drive their workstreams
▪ Ability to summarize and visualise complex data to tell a story in Power Point
▪ Proficient in Excel, Power Point and data tools like Power BI
▪ Understanding of redemption-based promotions is a plus
▪ Understanding of the consumer electronics industry ideal, but not necessary
