Venn Group are working with a Local Authority to recruit an interim Application Support Analyst.

• IR35 Status: Inside IR35
• Rate: dependant upon system experience
• Length: 3 months initially
• Working Arrangements: Remote working primarily

The interim Application Support Analyst will join their Applications Support team providing technical support to all users of the Council’s services.

An initial visit to the offices will be required to collect equipment and meet the team.

Responsibilities of the Application Support Analyst:

• Providing application technical support, including installing and supporting application server software, including the installation of new releases, big fixes etc.
• Carrying out technical ‘housekeeping’ tasks e.g. system log maintenance, checking completion of application backups etc.
• Providing support for a range of corporate Access databases
• Supporting the helpdesk with first and second line technical support and escalating to suppliers when required
• Software installation, system build, data loading, testing and live implementation
• Supporting projects as necessary and develop systems to ensure they fulfil the requirements of users

Experience and Skills:

• Previous Applications Support experience, ideally in a Local Authority environment
• The ideal candidate will have hands on knowledge of supporting Idox products, ideally Idox Uniform and Idox Enterprise
• Knowledge of other Local Authority applications/systems e.g. Civica would be beneficial
• General experience of Microsoft O365 including SharePoint and OneDrive
• Experience of supporting Access databases and knowledge of SQL is desirable
