HGV CLASS 1 DRIVER

Shifts: MONDAY TO FRIDAY - AVAILABLE START TIMES: 13:00 - 20:00 - WEEKEND OVERTIME AVAILABLE

Pay Range: £17.00 - £34.00 PER HOUR

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Coventry, West Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress.

Rates of Pay:

PM

• Basic: £17.00 per hour
• Overtime after nine hours: £21.25 per hour
• Overtime on sixth shift: £34.00 per hour

Day to Day Duties:

Your duties as a Class 1 Driver will involve but not limited to:

• RDC or Brewery Deliveries with no handball (working on curtain-side)
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
• Adhere to traffic laws and regulations

Essential Skills:

As a Class 1 Driver you will need to:

• Hold a valid UK Category CE Driving Licence
• Have a minimum of twelve months experience driving CE vehicles
• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
• Have a valid UK CPC Card and UK Digi Card
• Must be able to speak and read a good level of English

Desirable Experience:

• Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial
• Previous brewery delivery experience would be beneficial

Training:

• Driver's Assessment must be passed followed by a one-day paid induction
