Job Title: Accounts Assistant (3-Month FTC)
Location: Tyseley, Solihull
Salary: £15 per hour / £30,000 per annum equivalent
Contract: Full-Time, Office-Based (Fixed-Term, 3 Months)

We are seeking an organised and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our small, friendly accounts team on a 3-month fixed-term contract. Based full-time in our Tyseley office, this role offers the opportunity to take ownership of day-to-day finance tasks while also contributing to the implementation of new procedures designed to streamline and improve the accounts function.

Key Responsibilities:

Processing cashbooks, reconciling accounts, and managing ledgers

*

Supporting the roll-out of new finance procedures and assisting with system improvements

*

Maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures

*

Assisting with month-end close, reporting, and preparation of financial information

*

Raising invoices, processing payments, and handling general accounts administration

*

Working closely with colleagues across the business, providing finance support as required

*

Contributing to the smooth running of a small accounts department, ensuring deadlines are consistently met

Requirements:

Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar finance role

*

Strong understanding of cashbooks, reconciliations, and ledger management

*

Experience with Sage 200 highly desirable

*

Confident with Excel and general finance administration

*

Excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team

*

Self-motivated, reliable, and able to manage priorities effectively
