Objective

Bridge-It Housing UK, a Registered Social Landlord (RSL), Registered Charity and Investment Partner (IP) with Homes England, seeks the services of a versatile and dynamic candidate to become our Operations Manager.

Our ever expanding company is seeking to hire an Operations Manager to join our leadership team. You will be working closely with the Chief Executive Officer, Business Development Manager and other Senior Managers within the company, in providing inspired leadership for the Bridge-It Team.

This involves making important policy and strategic decisions, as well as the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures. You will also be assisting to recruit, where necessary, and help promote a company culture that encourages morale and performance, against the backdrop of the company's ethos, values and targets.

You will work with existing managers and other staff to:

• Streamline, consolidate, and make improvements within our maintenance department

• Effectively and efficiently manage, monitor, and maintain the company's fleet of vehicles

• Reinforce, embed and execute the relevant strategies necessary for continuous and improved collection of our service charges

• Assist in the implementation of a printer- free and paperless working environment

• Lead in the ongoing auditing of all company spend

Additionally, you will work proactively with the CEO and Senior Support Managers, through visits to all the company's branches, to get a feel of what's working, as well as finding out where the gaps are, whilst employing the necessary resources to plug them.

It is mandatory for the successful candidate to possess vast experience in a related field; in either the Housing or Support sector, or both and have prior experience in a managerial or leadership position. A good understanding of the Housing and Support sector, particularly around homelessness, along with a sound financial management base, will be a bonus.

Operations Manager Responsibilities:

• Assist in providing inspired leadership for the organization.

• Provide immediate and direct support to our team of Support Managers.

• Make important policy, planning, and strategy decisions.

• Develop, implement and review operational policies and procedures.

• Assist with recruiting when necessary.

• Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale.

• Oversee budgeting, reporting, planning, and auditing.

• Work with senior stakeholders.

• Ensure all legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations.

• Work with the Chief Executive Officers and Board of trustees to build on existing values and mission, and plan for short and long-term goals.

• Identify and address problems and opportunities for the company.

• Build alliances and partnerships with other organizations.

• Support worker communication with the management team.

Operations Manager Requirements:

• At least four years' experience working in management, leadership and operations capacity.

• Understanding of general finance and budgeting, including profit and loss, balance sheet and cash-flow management.

• Excellent team player.

• Ability to build consensus and relationships among managers, partners, and employees.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Good understanding of financial management
