Career Teachers are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, passionate and caring Key stage 1 teacher, to join their dedicated team of teachers and support staff.

The school is a two form-entry Primary School in Castleford and has good transport links including public transport. The role is to start after the Summer holidays on a full-time basis to cover Maternity and will run until the end of March 2026. The successful candidate will be working in Year 1 with the support of a TA in a supportive and community minded Primary School. ECTs are encouraged to apply.

The successful candidate will:

Have a sound understanding of the curriculum and assessment in Key stage 1
Be an inspirational and creative teacher, striving for 'every child deserves the best, every child deserves respect'
Have a secure understanding of how children learn and use this effectively to secure the best outcomes for children
Work well as part of a team and also as an individual
Be able to communicate well, with good interpersonal skills
Have experience of teaching within Key Stage 1
Demonstrate a high expectation of achievement and behaviour
Have the commitment to drive and raise achievement, giving every child the opportunity to reach their potential
Have a commitment to working in partnership with parents and the wider community
Be a productive and reflective practitioner
