Job Purpose
Our client is looking to recruit an experienced 'hands-on' Safety, Health, Environment & Quality Advisor with a 'can do' attitude. This is a fast-paced role, in a growing business, requiring someone with a proactive mindset, flexible approach and an attention to detail. The successful candidate must be highly organised, reliable, and possess excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
Roles and Responsablitlies
* Managing and maintaining the various reporting systems.
* Compiling statistics for reports and presentations.
* Completion of customer accreditation documentation.
* Developing and writing internal health and safety procedures/docs including safe operating procedures, toolbox talks, safety alerts and one-point lessons.
* Be an active member of the monthly safety committee and be prepared to chair the meeting when necessary.
* Investigating / recording accidents of Injury, Near Miss, Environmental & Cases of Ill Health.
* Carrying out site safety inductions and monitoring safety critical training requirements, advising and training staff on best work practices.
* Monitoring environmental impacts, objectives & targets.
* Conduct audits (ISO, internal site, customer site, operator)
* Supporting sites with the implementation of the appropriate safe systems or work.
* Monitoring EdApp / MYC systems for compliance.
* Liaising with relevant authorities where required.
* Suggesting improvements to current working processes driving continual improvements.
* Lead external audits for the relevant locations.
Essential
* 4 years' experience in a SHEQ related role.
* COMAH Experience.
* NEBOSH / equivalent qualification.
* Well organised and able to manage own workload.
* Excellent PC skills.
* Experience of SHEQ reporting systems.
* RCA / incident investigation
