HGV Technician

Location: Luton
£22.00 per hour
Temporary Contract | Immediate Start | Until End of May

We are recruiting for a skilled and motivated HGV Technician to join a busy fleet workshop in Luton on a temporary contract.

This position is available immediately and will run until the end of May, offering competitive pay and consistent hours.

The Role

* Service, maintenance and repair of HGV vehicles

* Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults

* Preparing vehicles for MOT testing

* Carrying out DVSA-standard inspections

* Completing workshop documentation

* Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety regulations

This is a hands-on workshop role suited to an experienced HGV technician who can work efficiently and independently.

Requirements

* Demonstrable HGV or commercial vehicle maintenance experience

* Strong fault-finding skills

* Knowledge of DVSA inspection standards

* DBS check required prior to start (completed in-house)

Advantageous

* HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence

* IRTEC accreditation

* Hydraulics and pneumatics experience
