JDR Recruitment are recruiting for Counterbalance FLT Drivers in Marston Green, Birmingham.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a counterbalance FLT to load and unload palletised goods from vehicles and trailers
• Handle mixed and non‑standard pallets common to pallet network operations
• Move, stack, and organise freight within the warehouse in allocated bays
• Support nightly trunking and dispatch operations to meet network deadlines
• Ensure freight is handled with care to prevent damage
• Complete basic paperwork or scanning tasks accurately
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
• Adhere to all health & safety, site rules, and pallet network procedures
• Work collaboratively with warehouse staff, drivers, and supervisors

Skills & Experience Required:

• Valid counterbalance FLT licence (RTITB / ITSSAR / AITT or equivalent)
• Ideally 2 years experience driving FLT trucks
• Previous experience in a warehouse or pallet network environment
• Confident loading and unloading articulated and rigid vehicles
• Good understanding of manual handling and warehouse safety
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict timeframes
• Good attention to detail and accuracy

Shifts:

We have the following shifts available:

Days: Monday - Friday 10:30am - 7pm

Nights: Monday - Friday 9pm - 5:30am

Salary:

Days shifts start at £13 per hour & increase to £16 per hour after 12 weeks

Night shifts start at £13.50 per hour & increase to £16.50 per hour after 12 weeks

Temporary to Permanent for the right candidates
