My client is a fast-growing construction company looking for a Health & Safety Assistant to support our Health & Safety Manager in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and subcontractors. The ideal candidate will be passionate about health and safety in the workplace and will have experience working in the construction industry.

Responsibilities:

* Assist the Health & Safety Manager in implementing and maintaining health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with company and industry standards

* Conduct safety inspections and audits, identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions

* Assist in the investigation of accidents and incidents and make recommendations to prevent future occurrences

* Assist in the development and delivery of health and safety training programs

* Maintain health and safety records and assist in the preparation of reports

* Keep up to date with new health and safety regulations and industry best practices

Requirements:

* Diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field/ IOSH/ NEBOSH

* Minimum of 1 years of experience in a health and safety role, preferably in the construction fit-out industry

* Knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation and regulations

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for travel to different worksites
